| about dose |
Dose is an owner-operated artisanal espresso bar.
A master of his craft; James has more than seven years experience pulling shots in the gourmet espresso trade in Sydney and London. He is well placed to launch dose at a time when Londoners are discovering an appreciation for fine espresso.
With his passion, the beautiful La Marzocco FB-80 espresso machine, Square Mile Roasters' fresh, dynamic blends and an ever changing menu of guest coffees, James aspires to create the most beautiful coffee in The City.

Dose's ethical policies:
- Dose will only use coffee that has been responsibly sourced: Fairtrade is a minimum standard, as this doesn't go far enough to improve the lives of those who have been exploited for so long. Our coffees often come from farms that practice biodiversity, building robust, healthy ecosystems for generations to come without harsh and intensive industrialised agriculture.
- We will use only organic milk, from British farms, again, aiding and promoting biodiversity.
- Where practicable, dose will use recycled/biodegradable packaging and recycle all that we can. We will also ensure that landfill. Waste is kept to an absolute minimum- we're looking into a worm farm to turn coffee grounds into fertiliser which will be offered free to our customers.
- Dose will contribute to charities that improve the lives of people in coffee producing countries, we will choose a project... watch this space.
- We will make efforts wherever we can to be a responsible, ethical and environmentally friendly business.
- Dose treats everyone with respect, from the coffee farmer to the dairy farmer to the barista to the city analyst getting their morning dose.
